PARLIAMENTARY PETITION OPPOSING MORECAMBE & MORGAN’S SCHEME

Mark Menzies MP is planning to present a petition, on behalf of Fylde residents, objecting to the scheme for the Wind Farm Transmission Assets as proposed by Morecambe & Morgan. This petition will be presented in the House of Commons thus registering local opinion in Parliament and on the Hansard Record. This is then visible to the press and to Morecambe & Morgan. To meet parliamentary rules, the petition can ONLY be signed by residents on FYLDE’S ELECTORAL ROLL and they must be wet signatures with no corrections allowed on the sheets.

Consequently, Newton with Clifton Parish Council are launching some public signing events starting on Saturday 16th December 2023 between 10am and 2pm outside the Newton Village Shop. We are encouraging other impacted Parish and Town Councils to organise similar events in their area to maximise the total number of signatures.

Even if you have signed other petitions or sent in objections, it is important for this official record to contain as many signatures as possible so your contribution would be valued.
